Life as a mother of sexually abused children -
the lows, the highs, the watch outs and the surprising laughter. Lifting the lid at what really happens behind the scenes, the Family Courts and the challenges as my girls enter the teen years.

Moi!
I found very little content when I became a 'MOSAC' (Mother of Sexually Abused Children) and at times I really wanted to connect with someone who knew what I was going through.
I have also been bound by a desire to share my experience, some of the atrocities my children and I faced at the hands of the system, the family court system and also the day to day reality of raising 2 girls so that the abuse does not define them.

I have gone from paying for legal representation to becoming a litigant in person and I continue to learn.

I am not intending this to always be super serious and I apologise in advance if I appear flippant but laughing has helped, even if at times is was hard to come by. I will also stress too that I am not a medical or legal professional so I am only reporting what I found in this journey.
About Me
I hope that if you are going through some of the things I have faced that this blog helps you. One of the hardest things I found was that I had expected that if someone discovered child sex abuse from a parent that the Police, NSPCC and Social Workers would be there to support at every step of the way. The reality was a stark contrast.

I also wanted to share the changes in my children's understanding and emotion as they progressed into teenage years.
